2000 K/K/N Reunion

The 2000 biennial Knowles/Knoles/Noles Family Association Reunion was held June 9, 10 & 11, 2000, in Dover, Delaware. The year 2000 marks the 300th anniversary of the arrival of Edmund "Old Silverhead" Knowles in the New World. Edmund Knowles (1685 - 1762) was from Bolton, Lancashire County, England. Edmund sailed from Liverpool, England, in November, 1700 on the Elizabeth and Judeth to Virginia. After serving out his seven year indenture with Jonathan Livesay in Virginia, Edmund migrated up the coast to the Colony of Maryland, now Sussex County, Delaware. The 2000 reunion was therefore held in the area not far from the old Knowles homesteads in the New World.
